Romania filmfest to display Iran documentary

Iran documentary ‘Weavers of dream’ is scheduled to vie at the 5th Zlatna International Ethnographic Film Festival (ZIEFF) in Romania.

Directed by Seyed Mohammad Sadiq Jafari, the feature was nominated for the official competition section of the festival, slated to be held September 22-24, 2017 in Romania’s Zlatna.

The theme of the movies to be screened at the event is ethnography- or anthropology- related.

On the event’s agenda is screening of submissions from Spain, Czech Republic, Iran, Romania, Turkey, Mexico and a few North African states.

‘Weavers of dream’ has also got the green light into the Quarzazate international film festival 2017 scheduled for September 19-24 in Morocco, where more than 80 short features and documentaries will compete.

The documentary has so far been nominated in the festivals of India’s Calcutta International Cult Film, Michigan’s Sunrise 45 Film and Oklahoma’s Norman Film.

The factual film depicts the story of a handful of blind people, who devise a Braille plan for weaving a carpet, and moving on, they enjoy the happy moments of assembling and jollying.
